Privacy Policy
Closed by Friday ("we," "us," or "our") provides CRM software and marketing services for mortgage and real estate professionals via closedbyfriday.com and app.closedbyfriday.com (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, company name, and password when you create an account.
- Customer data — contacts, leads, notes, messages, and files you import into or create within the CRM. This data belongs to you (see Section 5).
- Payment information — processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, browser type, and approximate location, collected through privacy-focused, cookie-less analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
- Communications — emails, texts, or call notes when you contact us for support or sales.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- To process payments and send transactional messages (receipts, account notices, onboarding help);
- To respond to support requests;
- To send occasional product updates or marketing you can opt out of at any time;
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
3. Text messaging (SMS)
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared with any third party.
If you opt in to receive text messages from us, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time or HELP for help. See our Terms of Service for more.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Services, under contracts that limit how they may use it:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Twilio — sending and receiving text messages you initiate through the CRM;
- Postmark — sending email you initiate through the CRM and our transactional email;
- Meta — if you connect Facebook or Instagram lead forms to your account;
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security, and analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transfer (in which case this policy continues to apply).
5. Your customer data is yours
Contacts, leads, conversation history, and notes you store in the CRM belong to you. We access them only to operate the Services, to provide support you request, or as required by law. If you cancel, you may export a complete copy of your data, and we will delete it from active systems within 90 days of your request.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis (such as consent) to store and message the contacts you import. See our Terms of Service.
6. Data retention & security
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and isolated tenant data — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] — we respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The Services are for business use and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. The "Effective date" above always reflects the current version.
